Route details

Short characteristics

It is a must! This is one of the most beautiful short (9.3 km) family routes I know. The path has 14 stops where various topics connected to nature are discussed and it is marked with a white arrow and a green stripe. The path starts in Ruda Zmigrodzka, then runs along the former pond embankments and the so-called Swedish Way. Finally, you cycle on the asphalt road across the Olszyny Niezgodzkie Reserve. There are a few excellent viewpoints (Jamnik (Dachshund), Rudy and Jeleni (Deer) III Ponds) on the way. The condition of the first section (south of the Krzysztof and Lesny ponds) is a certain unknown. You have to be prepared for some small bumps, possible detour or thick bushes. If you value your comfort, there is a detour of this section posted on our website.

Olszyny Niezgodzkie Nature Reserve

It is a protected area of natural swamps near the Luga River. The reserve consists of an old forest complex set up together with the fish ponds. The waters released during the autumn catches flood the area and, thanks to the resulting high humidity, the water communities retained a character close to natural. Black alders often in the so-called stilt-like form with roots visible above the ground grow in the reserve.
