Kamienna Gora, yellow. DOT105
Route details
Short characteristics
It is an interesting route consisting of two very different sections. The route description goes
anticlockwise.
Uphill section
The first forest part runs across the gentle uphill stretches of the Zawory Mountains. It is a
light MTB route on medium-quality forest roads. You can treat it like a classic access road,
expecting nothing more than a quiet climb. This section ends with a short and energetic
descent on dirt roads.
Return way
It leads on perfect asphalt roads with a fairly small traffic and a clear slope (speed!). We can
have a break for a visit to the zoo in Laczna. A bit further, geological attractions begin and the
first impressive monadnocks are by the very asphalt road. Immediately after entering the field
section, you pass the Devil’s Rocks (Czartowskie Skały) reserve. There, it is worth stopping for a
longer time, if only to see the head of the ‘gnome in a beret’ (you need to walk up to it for
several hundred meters). The end of this section leads among fields and on a disappearing
forest path.
All this makes for a quite interesting, relaxed route for casual MTB.
